He always knows when to move.
B was born with exceptional physical ability. Beyond his natural strength and athleticism, his senses are unusually sharp, giving him an extraordinary ability to notice even the slightest changes or signs that something is wrong around him. He spent some time in the military when he was younger, and in critical situations his body often reacted before conscious thought could catch up. His years there may have sharpened those instincts even further, but the foundation had always been part of him. He adapted quickly to both training and life within a unit, and before long became someone the people around him naturally came to rely on.
B has never been particularly interested in rank or status. He found little appeal in climbing the hierarchy of an organization, and eventually left the military. The fact that he is better suited to acting on his own judgment than following detailed instructions may have been part of the reason as well. He seems somehow more alive when he is out in nature, and unfamiliar surroundings rarely unsettle him. When action is required, he moves without hesitation; once it is over, he feels no need to turn it into a story.
B does not talk much, but only because he sees little reason to spend words on things he does not consider worth discussing. When something genuinely interests him, he is direct and can be surprisingly talkative. He is quick to make decisions as well. The same instinct is present in his playing. With both technical skill and power, he feels the weight and timing of the music physically, placing exactly what is needed exactly where it belongs. There is nothing wasted in the way he plays. For B, possessing strength and needing to prove it have always been two entirely different things.
B|FAVORITE FASHION BRANDS
B has no need for clothes that make him look stronger. He is already strong enough as he is. If the suit is a kind of battle dress for the modern man, there is little reason for him to borrow authority from broadened shoulders or a more imposing chest. Off duty, he is just as comfortable in rugged military and utility pieces, but when he does reach for a suit, one name appears often: Giorgio Armani.
Ask him why, and the answer would probably be disarmingly simple. It is soft, roomy, and comfortable to wear. Armani has long made suits that follow the movement of the body rather than confining it within a rigid structure. For someone as acutely attuned to his own physicality as B, it makes perfect sense that this ease would appeal to him more than the formality and restriction traditionally associated with tailoring.
What is interesting is how that uncomplicated choice ends up complementing B’s presence so precisely. The long line falling from a softened shoulder, smooth black or charcoal wool, the restrained sheen that catches the light as he moves—the clothes do not make him look stronger; they simply allow what is already there to remain unobstructed. To him, it may be nothing more than a suit that feels good to wear. Still, for a man blessed with that kind of height, the fabric should have a beauty to match.
